Hard surface desk mats are usually pretty plain. There's nothing about them that says 'creativity'. There's no wow factor. So here's a way to soup up your desk mat and make your office a little more interesting. First a GIF demonstrating what I did:
Basically what you do, is cut out a bunch of pictures from a calender, magazine, or book. Once you have a bunch of pictures, lay them out underneath your chair mat. My chair mat has a bunch of pokey things underneith, which poked through the pictures holding them in place. That's all there is to it.
