If you're like me, you've probably wondered why you can't buy Starbursts in a single flavor. I decided to write Wrigley and find out.
Dear, Wrigley
I really, really love Starbursts. I especially love the pink ones. Please answer me this question: Is it possible to manufacturer pink-only Starbursts? If it is, what are the chances that I could get my hands on a bag?

To which they replied:
"Thank you for contacting The Wrigley Company to request a single flavor pack of your favorite candy. We appreciate that you have been a loyal fan of this product.
At this time there is no plan to make a pack of the single flavor you suggested. We will, however, pass your request along to our Marketing associates responsible for the brand as they continually review consumer comment to shape their future strategy."
Thank you for that very impersonal and uninformative letter. Not what I was looking for.
I decided to be a little more forceful and direct.
Dear, Wrigley
Would it be possible for someone on the inside of the company to secretly send me a whole bunch of pink-only Starbursts? I would be willing to pay double or even triple the price. I realize that mass production and marking of pink-only candy is not possible, but surely it's possible to obtain a small batch of say 200 or 300 candies.
Love, harvestall
To which they replied:
Thank you for contacting the Wrigley Company to request information. We are always happy to hear from our consumers and will be happy to answer your question.
We are sorry to inform you that we are unable to specially order flavors and send out.
We thank you once again for taking time to contact us.
Hrm..
Once again nothing worthwhile or informative. I'm talking to the wrong people.
I'm going to have to rethink my strategy for getting pink-only Starbursts. I need a contact at the factory worker level. Someone who has access to the candy. I guarantee, there are free floating pinks inside one of those Starbursts factories. All I need is a contact to get me a bag. If you know anyone, email me at harvestall[dot]info[at]domainsbyproxy[dot]com.
